Debate: Should Teachers be Allowed to Wear Religious Garb to School?

According to the Daily Press, the state of Oregon has been presented with a bill to repeal a 1923 state law that prohibits teachers from wearing religious dress at work. The House Speaker, Dave Hunt, is pushing for teachers to have the same religious free rights as anyone else in any sector. Is this a freedom of speech issue or is it opening up the possibility of proselytizing to our children in schools?
