Central Penn Advantages for Criminal Justice Administration Majors
At Central Penn, we provide our students with the advantages that an articulation agreement with the Criminal Justice Program at Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC) can provide. It allows for the immediate and easy transfer of credits with no problems. We also give them the opportunity to learn and use critical management concepts for agencies involved in the criminal justice and legal fields. They will receive analytical problem-solving/research skills to use in a law enforcement, as well as legal environment knowledge of all relative bodies of criminal and civil law, Pennsylvania rules of evidence, court procedure, and the vehicle code. Important hands-on experience with criminal justice core competencies, investigative techniques, prosecutorial procedures, crime prevention strategies, and community policing initiatives is also provided.
As graduates of Criminal Justice, what are your employment opportunities?
There is an increasing need in both the private and public sectors for practitioners with college education in the administration of criminal justice and those students who take a Bachelor of science degree in Criminal Justice Administration will help meet that need. Students who take this course will develop a better understanding of the criminal justice system and all the bodies of law. They will learn more understanding of specialty law depending on what the students career goals are. Students can choose classes according to the personal interests and professional agenda. The students can customize their educational experience with this approach.

Central Penn graduates and interns have no difficulty locating employment in a variety of settings. One of the newest programs is the criminal justice bachelor's degree at Central Penn. Since September 11th there has been a growing demand for specialists in the criminal justice sector.
Whatever department you choose to work in, there will always be a need in the following areas: detective, police officer, state fish and game warden, federal agent, military law enforcement, nuclear security, crime scene technician, state trooper, fraud investigation, corrections, probation and parole, administrative or regulatory analysis, juvenile corrections and many others.

As part of our 18-credit program, our students develop a good sound knowledge and understanding of the crucial aspects of forensic criminology including forensic science, death investigations, forensic anthropology and forensic pathology.
What are the admissions requirements?
A powerful ability in verbal and written communications in addition to a high school GPA of 2.0 (C) average is the highly suggested prerequisites for entrance.

What are my employment prospects?
