Criminal Justice Studies

A Criminal Justice Major studies crime, justice and violence reduction in a multi-discipline and experiential environment. Seeing the value of differing points of view, effectively communicating, and critical thinking are skills that students are required to develop in this liberal arts major. Students should consider both active and analytical points-of-view when working on their studies in criminal justice.

Through their coursework in this major, students are encouraged to confront real-world issues and to interact with the people on the front lines of the criminal justice system by visiting courts, police departments, corrections facilities, and community agencies thereby obtaining a feel for the "working side of the street". Another aspect of the program involves visits from guest speakers that share real life experiences from the field.

Careers in law enforcement, corrections, social work, the justice system, and law are among those that may be pursued by students who graduate from this program. It is our hope as a student; you will develop a deep respect and appreciation of criminal justice and its related fields.

Herbal Medicine Schools

There is a pre-professional course of study offered by New England College's major in the course of a liberal arts degree for students who desire to get into professional programs in either research or applied disciplines in the health care field.
