University Canada West

The University of Canada West offers two ways to complete an undergraduate or graduate degree, on campus or online. Flexible course schedules are available to those students who wish to enroll in the distance learning program. The campus is located in Victoria, Canada and welcomes both local students as well as students from all over Canada.

Both bachelor's and master's degrees can be obtained through the online program at the University of Canada West. Online bachelor's degree programs can be selected in media and communications, commerce, and commerce with a specialization in technology management. Accelerated one and two year options are available for the advanced MBA degree.

Professors work together with the students to make themselves highly accessible. Instructors offer office hours and respond to all online communication via email or web conferencing. An online portal is available for students to participate in online discussions with the professor and other classmates.

Online advisors are available to the online students for counseling and academic needs. Academic advisors can provide information about the Finish Faster advantage where the student completes coursework for a bachelor's degree in just two years. Advisors work together with the student to arrange which classes need to be taken when to ensure the shorter graduation time. Advisors are available to chat with online, via telephone, or email.

Flexible payment plans are available to students to afford their online education. The school offers a tuition incentive program or TIP for students to finish their degree faster. As an undergraduate online student a 15% tuition reduction may be received when the student takes 12 courses each year and maintains a GPA of 2.0 or better. The MBA program also offers this incentive. The graduate online student must take 6 courses per year and maintain a 3.0 GPA or better.
