Class work typically involves reading lectures and/or supplementary educational materials and texts, preparing assigned homework, taking examinations, turning in written assignments, and communicating with the teacher and your peers online. Usually, most of the coursework is conducted through messages posted online. Some classes may also incorporate real-time chats, however, for the most part the coursework is conducted on your own time, not in real-time. Once the course starts, students usually log on at least every other day to see if they have received any new messages or if any messages have been posted to their virtual classroom. Students can log in to their class all day, everyday.

Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice
The students learn to understand criminal offending, and the criminal justice process, by studying criminal justice. The need to understand the causes of these behaviors, as well as this type of career, will become much larger, given society's growth. Multiple disciplines are taken into account as the program aims at approaching the study of criminal justice in the United States. In order to create a professional understanding of specific areas of interest, the program includes topics in corrections, criminology and policing for students. If a student is planning to have a career in criminal justice, crime prevention, child behavioral problems, adolescent delinquency and effective intervention they will find this degree very valuable.
The students with criminal justice degrees have diverse backgrounds and interests. Classes for enjoyment, or just to enhance a certain area, seem to be the classes that more students are taking. Common interests in things like anthropology, literature, psychology sociology and women's studies are shared by our student body. As per the experience of students, it is clear that students who opt to take courses in accounting, biology, business, chemistry, forensics or a foreign language benefit from increased employment opportunities.
A field placement requirement is included in the undergraduate degree in criminal justice. Seniors who wish to enhance their education level, can do so by taking part in a field placement. This ensures that they will gain practical and useful experiences in the field.
Students pursuing the Bachelor of Science degree will need to complete at least180 credit hours. General education, core classes and field placement are included in this. There are requirements for criminal justice students to work on earning a minor. Students make this decision with help from their advisors. Upon completion of their first year's classes students will be asked to pick a minor.
Criminal Justice Administration Certificate
If the students have already received their associate degree in pre-criminal justice and wish to specialize in the same area, then they can select the Criminal justice Administration certificate program to complement their degree. The Behavioral Science Department offers a one year certificate program in criminal justice administration. It is important to remember that these programs add to the associate degree program and so are supposed to be earned instead of a degree. To decrease the number of courses, you can always opt to take some of the course requirements for the certificate programs as electives in the pre-criminal justice program.
Criminal Justice Administration program provides the skills and knowledge involved in the justice administration and also the opportunities to create sensitivity awareness. This program will give importance to subjects covering administrative responsibilities within police departments, the court system, correctional institutions and agencies concerning both adults and juveniles.
This program is geared toward students studying for an associate degree or a higher level of education, or has already completed a degree in criminal justice. This program is a one-year certificate program. Raymond Walters College (RWC) allows you to apply your pre-criminal justice degree program credits as a compliment to prior coursework or toward earning a degree.
