At the Utah Career College online students are prepared to enter fields of employment in business, accounting, and information technology. For the last 30 years the Utah Career College has offered online courses and prepared students for success in these fields of study.
Utah Career College offers Associate's and Bachelor's degrees in Business Administration, an Associate's degree in Accounting and Tax Specialist, Bachelor's and Associate's degrees in Information Technology, and Certificates in Criminal Justice and Health Fitness Specialist.
Before starting online courses, students take a required orientation class that introduces them to the Blackboard software program used at the college. This software program enables students to access all of their online needs. The class must be completed in order for the students to participate in their online courses.
The instructors work together with students to make themselves available. Instructors hold office hours and respond to all online communication via email or web conferencing. The Blackboard is available for students to participate in online discussions with the professor and other classmates. All instructors are experts in their fields of teaching and are dedicated in helping the students do more than what is required of them in the classroom. Many professors assist with resumes, interviewing skills, and even life skills outside of class time.
Online advisors are also readily available to the online students for counseling and academic needs. These advisors can provide information about required courses and the plan to complete which desired degree. Advisors are available to chat with online, via telephone, or email. They are also available by appointment.
The college has an online library that is available to all students. The online library offers a collection of databases, e-books, journals, technical papers, reference guides, and many other resources. Tutorials are available to the online students as well as an online librarian ready to chat via telephone, instant messenger, or email.
