Virginia College is an online degree institution that offers programs in career-focused fields of study. Programs are designed for the student to go at their own pace and complete coursework in such areas as information technology (IT), criminal justice, health care, human resources, accounting, or business administration.
Virginia College offers associate's degrees in accounting, administrative office management, criminal justice, culinary arts, health care reimbursement, human resource management, medical office administration, and paralegal studies. Bachelor's degrees are offered in business administration, criminal justice, golf course management, health services, management information systems, network management, and private sector accounting. Master's degree programs are available in cyber security, business administration, and criminal justice.
All faculty at Virginia College are experts in their fields of study. The instructors make themselves readily available to the students both in and outside of the classroom. Instructors have designated office hours set up to meet with students and respond to all online communication via email. An online web-based system is available for students to participate in online discussions with their professors and fellow classmates. The online system is set up so that students may submit homework, take tests, participate in discussions, comment on other student's work, and monitor grades.
Academic advising can also be obtained online via email or telephone. A chat system is in place for students to interact with most of the college's departments. Academic and student advisors are also available to the online students to answer questions about curriculum, grading, financial aid, and more.
Financial aid programs are available to college students who require financial assistance in paying for their online education. The Financial Planning Department at Virginia College is available to answer questions about available loans, scholarships, and payment options.
