Walden University is an accredited college that has been in operation for approximately 40 years and graduated more than 60,000 students. Bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degree programs are available in a wide variety of fields including counseling, education, engineering, health sciences, management, nursing, psychology, public health and administration, and technology. The university was founded in 1970 and is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission.
Walden University offers bachelor's degree programs in business administration, child development, computer information systems, instructional design, interdisciplinary studies, and psychology. Master's degrees are offered in business administration (MBA), education, forensic psychology, health informatics, leadership, mental health counseling, public administration (MPA), public health (MPH), psychology, and software and systems engineering. Doctoral programs include business administration (DBA), education, health services, human services, psychology, public health, public policy, psychology certificates, and more.
Upon enrolling at Walden each student is assigned an enrollment advisor. The advisor is available to answer questions, design a coursework plan, and establish educational goals to help the student succeed in their area of study at Walden. The enrollment advisor is also available to answer questions about the online learning process and how to be successful.
A career services center is available to all online students. The center provides assistance with career planning, job research, resume writing tips, job offer reviews, interviewing skills, and more. Career services are available to Walden graduates as well as those who are transferring jobs or making changes in their career path.
Other student services include an online library. The online library offers hundreds of periodicals and articles, e-books, journals, technical papers, reference guides, and many other resources. An online librarian is ready to chat via telephone, instant messenger, or email to answer any questions the students may have. Tutoring, academic advising, and a full-service writing center is also available to all online students.
